I'm most proud of utilizing the UCSF Library's Makers Lab to create a 3D print of osteocyte cells. As a researcher, visualizing the mature osteoblasts (bone forming) cells embedded within the bone matrix, has been valuable tool when teaching.

How has technology helped you achieve a goal within your role or department?:

Accessibility and the support from the Makers Lab's designer, Scott Drapeau, has been instrumental in achieving a 3D print of osteocyte cells. In my everyday work, I utilize multiple UCSF applications (BearBuy, MyExpense, RIO, BOX, etc) often and is a vital tool for the multi-facet aspect of my job.

What’s your favorite aspect of your role at UCSF and why?:

My favorite aspect of my role at UCSF is being in the UCSF community and working with positive and supportive colleagues.

Many people don't know is that I'm currently making kefir water.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?:

I enjoy anything related to food and travel - cooking, baking, food/wine pairings, trying out restaurants, exploring different cultures through food, etc.

If you could learn anything, what would that be?:

I would enjoy learning to be a professional baker/catering.
