Prior to the 2020 ransomware incident, we advocated for a pilot IS-3 project that focused on improving IT tools and processes to support departments. After the incident, Central IT took the lead in creating a new IS-3 Program and IT Operating Model (ITOM). Our pilot project helped build a foundation for department IT collaboration and I’m proud of how we contributed.
After the 2020 ransomware incident, our goal was to identify more of the decentralized technology within SOM and who it belonged to. Dean King sent out a Qualtrics survey on our behalf to all SOM employees and requested that anyone that has self-managed technology fill it out – we received around 800 responses! Our SOM Tech team built a custom application in Salesforce using a Qualtrics integration that allowed us to make best use of all the data we received and run reports based on specific values.
